9月27日，由中国人民大学经济学院和英国苏赛克斯大学联合举办的双校学术研讨会在明德主楼729会议室举行。中国人民大学经济学院院长张宇教授等参加了会议，研讨会由经济学院虞义华副教授主持。

　　 会前，张宇院长会见了苏赛克斯大学代表Richard Tol教授和Michael Coulon教授。我校与英国苏赛克斯大学签有校际合作协议，此次两位教授来访是为进一步落实合作协议、拓展合作方式。双方表达了加强科研合作、开展学生交流交换的强烈意愿，并就具体的合作方式进行了深入的探讨。

　　 Michael Coulon教授和Richard Tol教授分别发表了题为“Analyzing energy markets: quantitative finance techniques, structural price models and ongoing challenges”和“Weather, climate, and total factor productivity”的学术演讲。我院魏楚副教授、谢伦裕助理教授和张晓兵助理教授分别发表了题为“On China’s Residential Energy Consumption”， “Spatial Distribution of Coal Fired Power Plant in China”和 “The benefits of international cooperation under climate uncertainty”的学术演讲。
