         【主讲】杨杭军  对外经济贸易大学国际经济贸易学院教授          【主题】A Comparative Analysis of Price Effects of Two Airline Mergers in China          【点评】王楚男   北京航空航天大学经济管理学院助理教授          【摘要】This paper examines the price effects of two influential airline mergers taking place in China in 2010. We find that both mergers triggered significant price increases on routes affected by mergers. Shortly after the mergers, the price rise was larger for China Eastern and Shanghai Airlines (overlapping network) than that of Air China and Shenzhen Airlines (complementary network). However, it was the other way around in the long run. We also find that high-speed rail had a significantly negative impact on airfare before early 2014. However, after early 2014, the entry of high-speed rail was associated with airfare increases.          
         【主讲人介绍】杨杭军：对外经济贸易大学国际经济贸易学院教授、博士生导师，博士毕业于加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大学尚德商学院，师从张安明讲席教授，专业方向为运输经济学和物流管理，主要研究领域为航空运输和交通运输经济与政策。已正式发表15篇被SSCI或SCI收录的高质量期刊论文，包括4篇交通运输领域国际顶级期刊Transportation Research Part B。
