【主题】Adverse selection in the UK annuity market and the 1956 Finance Act
【摘要】
This paper adds to the tiny empirical literature on whether there is a separating equilibrium in annuity markets:Evidence for separation in period 1956-62.
Tax treatment before 1956 made screening difficult and reduced the overall size of the market.
Test for adverse selection on the external margin is inconclusive.
【主讲人简介】Edmund Cannon，牛津大学经济学博士，英国布里斯托大学经济学教授，挪威经济学院经济史教授，从事经济史研究多年，在《经济史探索》、《牛津经济学论文集》等学术杂志上发表过多篇重要文章。Cannon教授讲课生动幽默，深受布大同学们的喜爱，在学生中享有盛誉。
